Colorado Contracts & Closings 72-Hour Broker Recovery

Broker Recovery is an option for brokers who miss one or more ACU classes during this license cycle.

72-Hour Broker Recovery Program

Designed for licensees who have missed one or more ACU courses and who have taken Broker Reactivation in the last 4 years. Program meets all CE requirements for this current license cycle for associate and employing brokers.


This is the same program an expired broker from another state would take in order to be licensed in Colorado as associate broker.

Colorado Contracts & Colorado Closings 72-Hours

This program consists of Contracts and Closings courses which will meet the DRE requirements and satisfy the education component for brokers from another state seeking a Colorado real estate brokers license.


 If you have less than two years of active experience as a salesperson or broker, you qualify for the associate broker, FA credential.

If you have an expired license or have held a license less than two years in another jurisdiction, you will need to complete the following education, depending on your license type.

  • If you have a salesperson license in another state: complete 120 hours of education.  Click Here to view.
  • If you have a brokers license from another state: complete this 72-hour Contracts and Closings package. Click Here to register.

In both cases you will need to pass the state exam and complete a background check.

You will need to:

  • pass both national and state portions of the Colorado Real Estate Broker's Exam (exam results are good for one year from the date of each portion's passing score)
  • complete a fingerprint background check.
