Getting your license in Colorado will take between three weeks and four months, depending on your individual study schedule. You must complete the required 168 hours of coursework, complete a background check, and pass the state exam. Your timing will depend on if you work on the courses full-time or part-time. Apex allows up to a full year for course completion.
The exam requires students to apply concepts rather than memorize definitions. While both will help, being able to answer scenarios and multi-step problems cause students the most trouble.
Apex is approved and regulated by both the Division of Private Occupational Schools (DPOS) and the Division of Real Estate (DRE). We offer only courses accepted by the Colorado Real Estate Commission.
Getting your license in Colorado will cost between $800 - $2000. Expenses include the cost of education, fingerprinting and examination, as well as errors & omissions insurance and application fees. Many new agents will also join an association and a multiple listing service after licensure.
Yes. Online and Self-paced real estate classes are allowed and available. You can choose to go to a classroom or online to work towards getting your real estate license.
